GHOSTLY TALES OF IPSTONES.

Just before Christmas we had an evening where I told Ghost Stories for Christmas at Hetty’s Tea shop at Froghall Wharfe in Staffordshire.
During the night a guy came up to me and told me that his Grandfather use to sit down with him and his brothers and sisters to read them Ghost Stories from a book Called “Tales of Ipstones ” By the Reverend F Brighton. I have recently purchased this book on eBay and to my delight I was intrigued and captivated by the ghostly stories it told, such as
The Churchyard Ghost, a haunted farmhouse, Witchcraft on the moorland, the coiners of Bottom House, to mention but a few.

Why not come and join me at Hetty’s on Friday 8th June

for some Ghostly Tales, some Staffordshire Oatcakes and a glass of Prosecco.
The evening starts at 8pm, and costs £20 per person

Ye Moorland scenes, ye homesteads grey and old.
On whose snug hearths, I’ve heard the legends told.
Of fairy gambols and an oft-told host.
Of nightly frolics of some friendly ghost.
